1 - In your Google Analytics account, locate your unique Tracking ID. This number is usually in a similar format to "UA-000000000-0".
To find the tracking ID:
- Sign in to your Analytics account.
- Click Admin.
- Select an account from the menu in the ACCOUNT column.
- Select a property from the menu in the PROPERTY column.
- Under PROPERTY, click Tracking Info > Tracking Code.
- Your tracking ID is displayed at the top of the page.
2 - Log in to your Convertly account, click on the 3-bar icon in the upper lefthand corner, and select "Settings"
3 - Click on the Analytics tab, and add in your UA tracking ID from Google Analytics, and click on save.
4 - Next, navigate to the Pixel Manager tab and click on the "Create Pixel" link in the Conversion Points section.
This will open a new field where you can add in a conversion point to match the Goals set in your Google Analytics account
Next, add in a conversion point's name, select it's type ("User Initiated" is an action the user takes, like a click or form fill. "Page Views" tracks the number of times a particular page is viewed by that user) and click on the "Google" checkbox for each item.
When done, click on the green Save button at the bottom of the page.
5 - Now, click on the 3-bar icon in the upper lefthand corner, and select Edit Site
6 - Navigate to whatever element you're trying to track and link to the Conversion Point you just created
7 - Click Publish in the top navbar, and you're done.
